Every so often I’ll get a letter or email from a well-intentioned, but misled reader who insists that they don’t eat bananas because they don’t want to gain weight.
I’m not really sure where the “bananas will make you fat” myth came from, but it’s time to put it to bed, once and for all.
No one ever got fat eating bananas, unless they were sitting on top of a bowl of ice cream, covered in chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
